[linux-team] Linux (B)

(let's go on in English ;))

I think the situation is clear.
We all want to contribute, most of us have great knowledge of Linux and/or
web technologies, but we just don't have the time to do so.
The more we are, the more we'll be able to produce and we can step up with
a good portal website for Linux in Belgium.

Belgium is far behind other countries regarding Linux (especially Germany,
of course), but as Jean-François said, things are moving. Slowly, but they
are moving...

We should target several things in that website:
1) provide information and links for newbies - they wanna know what Linux is
   all about ? let's show'em ;)
2) provide space for projects, one example on linuxbe.org:
   http://newbie.linuxbe.org
People who just want to get involved in the Linux community and contribute
information or software do get the chance... We host'em...
3) business Linux... that's the most difficult part, of course...
Certainly, we can provide information, but if someone asks us to teach'em
Linux, I'm not sure if some of us will have the time to do so (well, not
me ;)) => that brings us back to the "let's get together"-point.

We really should try and unite the few existing Linux projects in Belgium
under one site.

Anyway, it's definately worth a try...

Of course, we could also make hacker parties & stuff... but that's another
story - wait & see ;)

We've got good contacts to french Linux projects and I've got some contacts
at S.u.S.E. (and I could have a word with the people from Linux.de)...
So, I think that if we need help, we'll know where to find it ;)

Whatcha think, folks ?
