Job profile: IT Analyst for Cisco Systems, Inc.  
BRUSSELS, Permanent contract

Department:

The CSE-IS department takes care of the support, maintenance and development of
the Case handling requirements for the CISCO Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
The main application (CARE) is based on the Clarify call tracking software,
which together with many in-house developed web-based interfaces form
a world-wide support platform available 24/24. The core IT group is based in San
Jose, California. The vacant position will be based in Brussels to specifically
meet the European TAC needs. 

Job description:

  -  Work as developer on CARE related projects (Web based
     (HTML/CGI/JavaScript) or in Clarify)

  -  Analyze/understand the business requirements of local users and
     help in the prioritization process
 
  -  Assist in the day to day support issues of the Brussels user community
     (TAC).

  -  Assist in the test cycles for new software releases

 Technical profile of the candidate:

  -  Understanding of  SQL and Databases (preferably ORACLE)
  -  Programming experience in PERL  (or another computer language)
  -  Windows 95, UNIX
  -  Troubleshooting  Problem Solving
  -  Analysis
  -  Creativity

‘Nice to have’experience:

  -  Clarify 
  -  Business Objects or other reporting tool
  -  HTML, CGI programming
  -  Customer Support
  -  Working in projects


 General profile of the candidate:

  -  Flexible and Dynamic
  -  Eager to learn new technologies
  -  Independent worker
  -  Fluent in English, written and spoken
  -  Project oriented
  -  Minimum 3 years of professional experience
  -  Willingness to travel (Worldwide) (approx once per quarter)
