[linux-team] Open ISP Project: why not Windows nor Mac

Well, good point. I chose the word "Open" instead of "Free" because now any
ISP around is claiming to be "Free", which is half the story.
The word "Open" is also related with the "Open Source" community, which is
also related to the "Free Software" community. Then the Linux community. I
know that there is a flame war about the subject, OS vs FS. But for the
general public, I think they get the message with the word "Open".
But, as you tell, "Open" is not open enough, as it rejects Win/Mac
connections. If we support every OS on the market, even commercial ones, we
will pose a threat to regular ISPs. Then we will have a lot of opposition
and too many users not willing to participate in the Free Software movement.
Besides, one of the project's goals is to deliberately enlarge the Linux
community (when I mention Linux I include the other free kernels/OSs).
Do you think that Linux companies will support the project if we support
Wins and Macs? This is a project from the community TO the community.
If you still have not, please, read the articles.
