The integrated demonstration is therefore an excellent opportunity to acquire information on broadband development. A heterogeneous broadband testbed has been developed with the purpose of demonstrating end-to-end management, interworking and broadband services between different types of networks: ATM WAN, DQDB MAN, Token Ring LAN, Ethernet and ATM private network. The testbed will be connected to the pan-European ATM MoU pilot network, which will be officially opened this autumn. A selection of scenarios will be demonstrated live, illustrating the end-to-end management and the implemented CBDS and VPN services. The network management is implemented on different OSI platforms according to TMN standard using CMIP. The Virtual Private Network service is provided through cooperating TMN systems built upon the following platforms: IBM NetView/6000, Ericsson TMOS, HP OpenView and OSIMIS. A concept for integrating X500 Directory with X700 Systems Management has been developed and it will be shown how this can be used for Inter-Domain management. A complete set of GDMO specifications for the involved domains is available and a tool (Damocles) used during the specification managed objects will be demonstrated. In parallel to the demonstration, a poster session concerning the development of the sub-networks, interworking units, management software and development tools will be held. The systems developers will be present and ready to answer question and share/discuss their experiences with the audience. Invited talks on broadband development in general as well as on the three projects in particular will be given as an introduction to the demonstrations.
