Introduction to Bluetooth

Standard emerged by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (from Motorola to Nokia),
Version 2.0 is the latest version (devices used for the moment 1.0/1.2),
Usage is PAN (Personal Area Network)
Three classes of bluetooth devices :
Class 3 - (1 mW power and 0.1 to 10 meters)
Class 2 - (1-2.5 mW and 10 meters)
Class 1 - (100 mW and 100 meters)
Frequency is 2.45 GHz (ISM Band) with a large channel separation
Bluetooth =/= 802.11
Can work in ad-hoc mode or in piconets (a master and slaves)
