These tests are intended to validate the protocol specified in the Blue Book (1988) Recommendations Q.761-Q.764. Most tests contained in Recommendation Q.784 are applicable to the Recommendation Q.767 (1990). Recommendation Q.784 conforms to Recommendation Q.780 which describes the basic rules of the test specification. The purpose of the test specification is to provide validation (conformity of a given implementation to the Recommendations Q.761 to Q.764) and compatibility of two implementation of Signalling System No. 7 ISUP.
